For this project, I drew my primary inspiration from the vividly textured landscape of Marzipan City, a whimsical setting featured in the animated show “Chowder”
One aspect I particularly admire is the animation technique known as unmoving plaid. This effect creates an intriguing visual experience where the clothing of characters appears static and patterned, yet it evokes the sensation of a portal or wormhole leading into another, fantastical universe where those patterns thrive. The dynamic between the seemingly unchanging surface and the vibrant energy it suggests adds a layer of depth, drawing viewers into an extraordinary realm of imagination.
